Happy Holidays! Happy New Year!

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

It is amazing how the older you get the quicker Christmas seems to happen. Remember when you were a kid and how it seemed to take for ever to get here. It seems like we just cleaned up the mess from last year and we are wrapping gifts again. But it is as they say a great time to reflect and plan how I will respond to what comes my way both personally and professionally.

Personally I feel comfortable with my contributions this year, mostly related to my local community. Sure we could all do more but we should also celebrate what we have accomplished.

Professionally it has been a relatively successful year but a frustrating year. Hence this newer business, TeleWebcast Marketing Associates, is my way of moving towards working on what I love to do and weaning my self of the work I used to love.

I have been reading The Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris and reflecting on what kind of life I want as 2009 draws near. My wife and I have been exploring new opportunities which we hope to put to paper soon. It is a two year plan to take some extended time off to travel and find new horizons for learning and contribution.

We are leaving Christmas Day for a long driving trip to visit family so I want to wish you and yours all the success and joy you deserve. Keep positive and focus on the best that life has to offer which is exciting and bountiful everyday. Cheers!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

Like we have any choice. It’s snowing hard here in the great white north but I did make it to a breakfast meeting this morning related to our local chamber of commerce.

Before the meeting I was able to listen to one of the ladies talk about her business challenges in obtaining clients closer to her home. She said she has access to a good prospect list but has neither the time nor the desire to make the one on one presentations, and in fact has been thinking of using a telemarketing company.

“Perfect” I am thinking to myself, “this is a great opportunity for this small business person to take that prospect list and create very interested prospects and turn them into local clients through a systematized approach using an Ask Campaign and a TeleWebcast seminar, my specialty. I was just starting my elevator speech when we had to start the meeting so she gave me her card and we will talk soon. In fact I already have demo web pages set up to show her how it works.

I am continually amazed at the opportunities that are around us every day – we just have to be open and willing to stretch ourselves out of our comfort zone at times.

Time to make a snowman! Stay warm, or cool if you are so lucky.

What is a TeleWebcast anyway?

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

I have to admit upfront most of what I say about TeleWebcasts, also known as TeleSeminars, I learned from my teacher and mentor, Alex Mandossian, with some good coaching from Christina Hills. This is a good thing for me and my clients as Alex is the foremost authority on TeleSeminars boasting interviews and joint ventures with a who’s who of speakers, authors, celebrities, business owners and the like. I respect his knowledge and ability to train others like me to start-up and run successful businesses by actively applying creative innovation, in other words imitate success and avoid creating failure.

In its simplest terms a TeleWebcast, or TeleSeminar, is an audio seminar of one or more sessions on a topic of interest to any group of people. It is produced and broadcast using telephone conference lines and also delivered at the same time as an audio webcast over the internet. The specialized system that combines the technologies together into one cohesive unit, along with specialized content that is presented, are the secrets to the success of the TeleWebcast event.

Our company, TeleWebcast Marketing, brings the tools and systems together with the talents of the presenters to provide successful campaigns to create leads, to sell information or real products, services, books or events, to raise funds and much more. The technology can also be used to train clients, provide sales previews, launch new businesses or seek out opinions. The uses are limitless but the goal is to target a specific market niche with a goal in mind.

We will dig into more of the specifics in future blogs.

Progress, not perfection, is the catalyst of success!

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

Well here it is – my first fully functioning blog website. I am not even sure all it can do but that does not matter because as my teacher and mentor Alex Mandossian says, “Sloppy success is always better than perfect mediocrity.”

Yes I truly believe that progress, not perfection, is what will propel my new business. The advanced coaching I am receiving from Christina Hills is assisting me in making the right technology decisions while guiding me to an accelerated business start-up.

There are great days ahead of us if we creatively imitate and model the success of others, keeping the progress going forward a little bit each day. In a year we will be quite surprised at both our progress and increased perfection.

Hello world – watch out for Terry and what he can do to help you create progress towards your goals!
